Our product

Measuring the heartbeat of nature.

Continuous bioacoustic insights powered by our smart mics and SynApp Platform - simple, seamless, and ready to use.

Smart microphone

Built for the wild. Engineered for continuous monitoring.

The smart microphone is a rugged, solar-powered acoustic recorder designed for long-term field deployment. Developed through four iterations and decades of Swiss engineering experience, it eliminates the maintenance burden of traditional passive acoustic monitoring.

No unexpected downtime. No manual data collection. Just continuous, reliable monitoring.

Key features

High-Quality Audio Capture
4 MEMS microphones recording up to 250kHz. Customizable recording schedules to optimize for target species or continuous monitoring. Advanced AI models enabling more accurate detection with less data than traditional methods.

Automatic Data Transfer
Real-time transmission via LTE (4G) or WiFi directly to your SynApp dashboard. Monitor device health and data flow remotely.

Field-Proven Durability
IP66 weatherproof rating. Designed for extreme conditions - from desert heat to alpine winters.

True Autonomy
Solar powered with advanced LiFePO₄ battery technology (stable to 130°C). No battery swaps and no SD card retrieval. Devices run continuously for months.

What Our Clients Say

"In the first month, the Smart Microphone at the nature station already recorded over 80 different bird species... including endangered ones like the redshank. Without Synature, we wouldn't even know some of them were here."

Synapp Dashboard

Turn sound into verified biodiversity intelligence.

SynApp is our cloud-based platform that transforms acoustic data into actionable ecosystem insights. Whether you're tracking restoration progress, ensuring compliance, or measuring conservation impact - SynApp gives you the visibility and scientific rigor your decisions require.

From raw audio to a holistic nature understanding - all in one platform.

Key features

15,000+ Species Detection
AI-powered identification covering birds, bats, frogs, insects, and mammals. Real-time alerts for target species.

Expert Verification Layer
Review, verify, or reject detections through our built-in quality control system. Expert feedback continuously improves our ML models - ensuring scientific accuracy.

Device Management
Monitor all smart microphones remotely. Check battery levels, connectivity status, and recording schedules from anywhere.

Acoustic Indices & Trends
Track biodiversity changes over time with standardized acoustic metrics. Compare sites, seasons, and restoration phases with quantitative data.

Ecosystem Health Indicators
Beacons and Guardians translate individual species detections into broader insights. A kingfisher signals clean water and healthy fish populations - not just one bird's presence.

FAQ's

Frequently Asked Questions

How many microphones do I need?

One microphone can measure biodiversity in a 1km radius reasonably well if it's a homogenous landscape. We recommend to setup devices at strategically important locations rather than full coverage.

How does bioacoustics compare to other monitoring methods?

Unlike eDNA sampling or remote sensing which provide snapshots in time, our microphones capture continuous data streams 24/7. This reveals patterns and trends impossible to detect with annual surveys - from seasonal migrations to behavioral changes and ecosystem shifts.

Are conversations also going to be recorded?

No, all human speech is filtered out and deleted immediately to ensure privacy.

Can you also measure abundance?

Not yet, but we're working on it!

How is data transmitted?

Via LTE network or WiFi - and soon also satellite.
